Meet the BoardGina Graziano is a K - 5 music and movement teacher, union organizer, community activist and rock and roller in Martinez. Her passion is teaching and promoting Orff Schulwerk in the public schools. Gina's blog, My Life in Orff, can be found at www.ginagraz.com. Greacian Goeke teaches children’s Orff classes at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She also teaches movement and music to preK through 90+ in a variety of community programs, including Conservatory in the Schools and Crowden Center for Music in the Community in Berkeley. She completed her Levels training in 1999 at Mills College. Barbara Martin teaches general music and choir to K – 8 at St. Raymond School, a parochial school in Dublin. She is also a novice songwriter and keyboardist in a rock band .John Ashfield - bio coming soon! Jason Jones - (a.k.a. JJ).I am a music
teacher at a preschool thru 8th grade independent school in the North
Bay, and have been on the faculty there for 13 years. Currently, I
direct the PK-4th grade general Orff music classes and also I am the
Choral Director for our 2nd thru 8th Chorus Program. As well, I have a
private practice teaching mostly guitar, bass and some vocal coaching.
I graduated the Orff Levels Training program at Mills College in 2004.
I am also a Local Conference Committee Chair for our own AOSA National
Convention. I live in Fairfax, Ca. I have two daughters and have been
married for 10 years. I play in various musical projects and work with
many artists, collaborating, recording and writing. Life is good! Rachel Hartwig - bio coming soon! Amanda Hahn - Involved in her beloved Orff chapter upon completing her first Levels course in 1998, Amanda Hahn is so excited to serve as the Orffion editor. She is a new member of the music faculty at San Francisco Day School after having been an Orff specialist in the Cabrillo Unified School District, in the Half Moon Bay area, for 9 years. Originally trained as a classical flutist, Amanda freelances a bit and performs in chamber music recitals. She is devoted to her flute students in her studio and through the S.F. Community Music Center, and tries to stay at least one step ahead of the reed players in the woodwind classes she leads. John Buschiazzo holds a B.A. in Music from Cal State Hayward. He completed his Levels training at the Bay Area course at Mills College in 1997. A member of the NCAOSA Board since 1999, he has also served local and statewide positions for CMEA & IAJE. John began his teaching career in 1980 in the band/jazz/orchestra world. Since 1991 he has been the music specialist at John Swett Elementary in Martinez. He is a trombonist and founding member of Pacific Brass, and performs regularly in the Bay Area.
