Hospitality

Hello and welcome- We are the hospitality committee. Our job is to make everyone attending and presenting at the conference feel welcome to San José and the Bay Area.

Before the Conference: We want to create a hospitality webpage for out of town guests so that they can find out about trips, sights, excursions etc. which they might want to take advantage of while they are in our fabulous area. Because the Veteran's Day holiday falls the monday before our conference, we anticipate that many out of town folks may choose to come early to the Bay Area to enjoy sight-seeing, etc. on the weekend before the conference.

We will also be gathering donated items for hospitality bags to be given to the presenters and performers, items like food treats, bottled water, memorabilia, pens, pencils, etc. (also see donations page)

Right before the Conference: We will be assembling bags of goodies for the presenters. We will also be creating teams to greet and welcome arriving participants- there's talk of accordions playing live at San José International Airport....

During the Conference:

We will have a hospitality table which we will need staffed by knowledgable, friendly locals who can give visiting guests good information about our area. These could be family/spouses- not necessary that they be AOSA members.

Contact us. Margaret (davmarmore@comcast.net) and Diane (dandimat@aol.com) to join in the fun of welcoming people to our conference.
