NCAOSA appears as a Group on Facebook. We invite all members to stay in touch and share ideas around this “kitchen table in cyberspace.”
Please follow the Protocols for Posting below so that our page remains uncluttered and efficient.
Our Facebook page replaces the defunct (and spammed) Member Forum from our old website. Please make use of the online bulletin board/community features of Facebook in the same way the old Member Forum was intended.

For example:

Post job openings or equipment needed/for sale
Find a ride to the next workshop
Find roommates for National Conference or MiniConference
Let members know what you are working on in your classes (photos and video always welcome; make sure you have permission)
Seek teaching-related guidance from fellow members
Let members know if you are interested in visiting colleagues' classes
Post feedback on the recent workshop or conference (your personal Top Ten)
Post related events, performances or workshops you are involved in (links to your own page only, where you can post the full information)
Recommend performances, recordings, books, restaurants
Relate something you're excited about in your teaching--a new discovery or a well-loved favorite

Protocols for Posting:
When announcing performances or events, please give brief information only and provide links or your own contact information so that people can find complete listings elsewhere--your own Facebook page is probably the easiest link to offer.
When posting photos or videos of children, make sure you have permission from the school and parents to do so. To preserve anonymity, please do not identify students by name or school.
